The Art Room at Hemenway Elementary

Thanks for visiting MrsBrownArt.com!!  I hope you enjoy looking through the artwork and the lessons on this site, while also learning about the Massachusetts Art Curriculum Frameworks (MACF). Many parents do not know that Art classes have curriculum guidelines set forth by the state of Massachusetts. I have built the program at Hemenway Elementary to fit within those guidelines, while also creating cross curriculum connections to help the students form a deeper understanding of the topics they learn in their other classes. We hope you have fun viewing the artwork!       ~Mrs. Brown

FRAMING ARTWORK?
Were you hoping to frame your child's artwork only to find out that it would cost around $85?  The standard size art paper is NOT the same as a standard size frame, which can make it expensive.

How to frame your child's artwork for less:
If you child's artwork is 18x12 you can use a large piece of 18X24 black paper to create a 3-inch background border.  Since 18x24 frames are readily available in most stores you should have no problem finding the perfect frame!  Parents can come to the ArtRoom to pickup a piece of 18x24 paper.

To protect the privacy of students and families I will not list student names below artwork unless specifically requested to do so by a parent. If you recognize your son or daughter's artwork on this website and you would like their name listed under the image, please send an email to: abrown@framingham.k12.ma.us
