I am currently an Art
Teacher at
Hemenway Elementary School where I teach students ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 5. Hemenway Elementary is a
Multiple Intelligence School that puts a strong focus on a well rounded education. Many teachers at the school incorporate Art into their daily lesson plans, and I often try to create interdisciplinary connections between the students' Art
lessons and their other classes.
I think being an Art Teacher is the best job in the world! It is very rewarding to see my students create new things and reach new heights. At the end of every class session I choose an "Art Star" which is based solely on effort and behavior.
In
my class I am always looking for students who are trying new things, and most
importantly, trying their best. |

I received a Masters of Art in
Teaching from Salem State College in 2008. For my undergraduate studies I attended Montserrat College of
Art, where I focused on Painting and Art Education.
My
favorite activities outside of school are gardening, photography,
reading, painting, spending time with
my husband Jeremy, my friends, and my kitty Calvin!
